Does your child love music, rhythm, movement, and creativity? In SoundLab, campers explore music in a hands-on, high-energy way using GarageBand, creative coding, DJ-style sharing, and off-screen LEGO building activities. Students create their own beats, songs, and sound effects, then share their work in a fun and encouraging environment.  Students sit with age group.  Age appropriate activities.  Performance for parents on Thursday at pickup.

This updated SoundLab keeps campers on their feet — building with LEGO, exploring rhythm through movement, and performing for each other between creative sessions. Students design 3D song maps using LEGO bricks to represent the parts of their music, explore rhythm games, and participate in movement and dance activities. Campers may also create music for the camp showcase or for a BattleBot event. Using Scratch, students program lights and sounds on a keyboard, combining music with simple coding concepts. Every camper takes home their own original tracks, and a live performance for parents and guardians takes place on Thursday at pickup.

With guidance from instructors, students can experiment, create, perform, and grow in confidence no matter their experience level. Some kids will enjoy making beats. Some will love DJing. Some will love the performance side. Some will simply enjoy creating music, dancing, and sharing it with others. This camp gives them room to explore all of it.

No prior music experience is required. Just bring curiosity, creativity, and an interest in music.
