LEGO® BattleBot Engineering, Invention & 3D Printing MegaCamp
Ready to take your robotics and engineering skills to the next level? Designed for innovators ages 8+, this MegaCamp delivers advanced LEGO® robotics challenges, hands-on invention, and 3D printing excitement. With both morning and afternoon sessions, plus a supervised lunch and recess, you’ll double your opportunities to earn points, snag trophies, and sharpen your STEM expertise.

Course Description

Unleash your creativity and competitive spirit! In the LEGO® BattleBot Engineering, Invention & 3D Printing MegaCamp, campers dive into rapid prototyping using LEGO® Robotics and 3D printing in the morning, then switch gears in the afternoon to build, program, and battle cutting-edge LEGO® robots in friendly competitions. Whether brainstorming new ways to accomplish robotic tasks at home or squaring off in epic BattleBot showdowns, each day introduces a thrilling challenge that inspires problem-solving, teamwork, and innovation. Let the LEGO battles begin!

In This Course, Campers Will Enjoy:

1. Rapid Prototyping & Invention
   • Design and build invention ideas using LEGO® Robotics or 3D printing.
   • Pitch prototypes to an encouraging panel, “Shark Tank” style, honing communication skills and creativity.
2. Hands-On Robotics
   • Construct custom LEGO® attachments to accomplish real-world tasks like feeding a pet or picking up LEGOs—each completed goal earns points toward trophies.
   • Build and program the Robot Academy Arduino and work with other exciting robots like the mBot2 and Ultimate Robot.
   • Returning campers can upgrade their existing robot with new add-on sets, like Lights and Sounds or a Robotic Arm, for even more complex projects.
3. BattleBot Showdowns
   
   • Tackle thrilling, age-appropriate challenges—navigate mazes, obstacle courses, and face off in Robot Wars.
   • Translate STEM concepts into high-energy competitions that keep campers motivated and engaged.
4. Earn Points for Trophies
   • From completing challenging builds to winning fierce BattleBot bouts, every achievement is celebrated with trophies, ribbons, and medals.
   • Instructors provide personalized guidance, ensuring every camper experiences success and gains confidence.
5. Master Key STEM Skills
   • Campers sharpen coding, engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork skills through hands-on projects and real-world scenarios.

Senior Track (Ages 8+)

This specialized track empowers older or more experienced campers to dive deeper into complex engineering challenges and coding projects. Instructors facilitate advanced builds, offering tips and insights that encourage true innovation.

• 9:30 – Registration/Welcome
  • Welcome, and kick off the day with a quick LEGO® team-building exercise.
• 10:00 – Introduction Presentation
  • Overview of the day’s new material, goals, and challenges.
• 10:45 – Hands-On Activity
  • Monday: LEGO® Robotics Challenges
  • Tuesday: 3D Modeling
  • Wednesday: Prototype Building
  • Thursday: Shark Tank-Style Presentations
  • Friday: BattleBot Showdown

• 12:15 – Clean-Up & Gracious Professionalism Awards
• 12:30 – Morning-Only Campers Depart

Lunch & Recess (12:30–1:30 PM)

Afternoon Session (1:30 PM–5 PM)
