LEGO Robot Building and Coding- Grades K to 2 and 3 to 5

Does your child love Robot Wars and LEGOs? Join our action-packed LEGO Robot Building and Coding after-school class, designed especially for Grades K-2 and 3-5! In this program, kids will dive into building and coding their own LEGO robots using Scratch, with fun challenges like BattleBot, Jousting, and Maze, where they’ll put their creations to the test. No experience is necessary; our expert instructors guide young engineers every step of the way, helping them build the robot to using their LEGO robots to feed the pet, clean the room, and clear the table. They’re well on their way to becoming helpful robotics experts at home! For even more fun at home, there’s an option to purchase a take-home robot, allowing students to continue learning and customizing their robots. Sign up today to unleash your child’s creativity and watch them beam with pride as they bring their very own robot creations to life!

Optional Take Home Robot

Many parents tell us that purchasing a Take-Home Robot was one of the best parts of the class for their child. While completely optional, it’s very popular because it allows your child to continue building, coding, and creating long after class ends.

During Week 2, every student will build from a brand-new robot kit. For just $125, your child can keep the exact robot they built—turning the after-school experience into a hands-on STEM learning opportunity that continues at home.

You can purchase the robot during registration (choose “Registration with Take-Home Robot”) or anytime during the session using the link provided below. Just include your child’s name and class.

Parents frequently tell us that their children are even more engaged in class when they know the robot will be theirs to keep. They take extra pride in building it, love showing it off at home, and enjoy running all the programs we create during class using the included in the information packet sent home with the robot.  The robot also works with the remote so students can build with LEGO® and quickly use the robot.

Students who own the robot can also bring it to our Dublin summer camps, where they build and program an exciting expansion set—adding even more engineering challenges and fun.

Space is limited for our Dublin LEGO® Robot classes, and they tend to fill quickly. Because Dublin City Schools charges a weekly facility fee, each class does require a minimum number of students, but you will receive a full refund if a session is canceled due to low enrollment and we will make the decision at least 1 month in advance to give you time to register for a different class.   We would love to have your child join us for an engaging, confidence-building robotics experience!

Returning Student?
If your child already has a Robot Academy Arduino LEGO® Robot, they are welcome to bring it back for the next session. We’ll help them build and program the LED Panel expansion—at no extra cost—as long as they still have the add-on set that was sent home from class or camp (two small packets included in the box).

It’s a great way for returning students to continue advancing their skills with new challenges!
