LEGO® Engineering, Invention & 3D Printing Morning Camp (Ages 8 & Under)
Does your child love LEGOs? In this exciting half-day camp, your young inventor will get hands-on experience designing, building, and programming LEGO® robots—all with the guidance of our patient, kid-friendly instructors. With extra help for younger campers and plenty of teamwork activities, this camp empowers budding engineers to learn, play, and grow in a fun, supportive environment!

Course Description

Each morning, campers dive into engineering activities such as rapid prototyping with LEGO® Robotics or explore 3D printing to see their wildest ideas come to life. They’ll learn to solve simple, real-world problems (like feeding a pet or tidying up LEGOs) by designing custom LEGO® Robotics attachments. Whether they’re pitching their invention to a Shark Tank-style panel or collaborating with friends to conquer a robot obstacle course, every activity is designed to build confidence, encourage teamwork, and spark a lifelong passion for STEM.

Morning Session Highlights

1. Rapid Prototyping & Invention
   • Younger campers receive step-by-step guidance to dream up and assemble their own invention ideas using LEGO® Robotics or 3D printing technology.
2. Team-Based Learning
   • Campers work in small groups or pairs for most activities, sharing ideas, brainstorming solutions, and helping each other succeed.
3. Shark Tank-Style Presentations
   • Campers practice communication skills by presenting their prototypes to a friendly, encouraging panel, gaining confidence in public speaking.
4. Hands-On Robotics
   • Extra support is available for any child who needs it, ensuring everyone can program and customize their robot to tackle everyday tasks.
5. Confidence-Building Fun
   • From coding basics to creative design, each activity boosts problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
   • Daily successes earn points for trophies, ribbons, or medals, so every camper goes home feeling proud.

• 9 to 9:30 – Registration & Welcome (LEGO Free Play)

• 9:30 Team-building LEGO® challenge.
• 10:00 – Introduction Presentation
  • Overview of the day’s theme, goals, and challenges.
• 10:45 – Hands-On Activity
  • Monday: LEGO® Robotics Challenges (individual-based)
  • Tuesday: 3D Modeling (create basic designs with friendly coaching)
  • Wednesday: Prototype Building (work together to bring ideas to life)
  • Thursday: Shark Tank-Style Presentations (pitch inventions to a fun panel)
  • Friday: BattleBot Showdown (cheer each other on in mini robot battles)
  • (Snack Break provided—feel free to bring your own favorites!)
• 12:15 – Clean-Up & Gracious Professionalism Awards
  • Celebrate the day’s collaboration, creativity, and breakthroughs.
• 12:30 – Morning Camp Ends
