Camp Descriptions:

LEGO® BattleBots & Robot Missions | After-School for Grades K-2 & 3-5
Build It. Code It. Battle It. Earn Your Stamps.
The school bell rings, and the robot arena opens. Every week your child builds a real LEGO® robot with motors, sensors, wheels, and gears, then brings it to life with kid-friendly Scratch coding plus safe AI tools that turn ideas into working code fast. Kids work in their own grade group (K-2 and 3-5), no experience needed. Our expert instructors help every young engineer to succeed, and this session packs in more coding than ever, the way kids love it: every new skill unlocks something awesome their robot can DO, from smarter moves to winning battle strategies. Kids code with AI to build real AI fluency: tell AI what to build, test it, make it their own.
Every week brings a new mission. Program a robot that feeds the pet or cleans the room, or competes in Maze Runs, Musical Jousting, Robot Flag Football, Robotic Egg Run, and the main event: BattleBot, where every robot enters and the last one standing wins. Sessions run 5 to 8 weeks depending on the school. Every session includes building, coding, LEGO® Building Challenges for ribbons, LEGO® Robotic Competitions for medals, and the BattleBot main event. The more weeks, the more missions your child conquers. Your child doesn’t just build robots. They engineer, strategize, compete, and walk out proud.
NEW this session: the Robot Passport, a keepsake record of every skill mastered. Each coding skill and challenge earns a stamp. Fill the after-school page to earn the Robot Ace title plus the Ace Bot, a 3D-printed backpack clip. Returning builders: this isn’t last year’s class. New builds, new challenges, new arenas, and recognition for everything you conquer.
Every student works with a real LEGO® robot in class. Families may add the optional Take-Home Robot so the fun never stops. It is sent home ready to play: drive it using the remote, or launch any of five programs coded in class, including BattleBot and Jousting, and turn the living room into the arena. When your child is ready for more, they can code brand-new adventures themselves.
What goes home: an official Robot Academy Diploma with LEGO® mini figure, their stamped Robot Passport, every ribbon and medal they earned, and the optional take-home robot.
Classes meet once a week, 3-4 p.m. Registration is open for Grades K-5.
6-week session

At Our Robotics Classes & Camps:

Our Upper Arlington summer camps dive into the fascinating world of robotics — operating friendly robots through remote control or the intuitive drag-and-drop interface of Scratch programming. By constructing LEGO attachments for their robots, campers engage in hands-on activities that ignite engineering curiosity and foster learning through playful exploration. Our robotics classes for kids guide each child to think critically and create their own solutions to the real-world problems.

Emphasis on FUN & Building Confidence!

With activities that stimulate and educate, we show kids that robotics/engineering can be super fun with LEGO Robotics and 3D Printing!  Campers win prizes during epic BattleBot rounds, LEGO Robot Wars, and Jousting competitions.  At summer camp, each student wins a special trophy, ribbon or medal by accomplishing hands-on robotics challenges (with help of our Instructors, 1:6 Teacher:Student ratio and 1:1 when needed).

All Skill Levels:

No LEGO robotics experience necessary! Our Robotics Classes foster a healthy environment for campers with little no robotics experience, as well as providing difficult challenges for more experienced and returning campers. Returning students can bring their robot back to camp to the LED panel with advanced programming.
