Robot Academy Summer Camps Create Winners

Evidence-Based Excellence

LEGO robotics world champions developed and refined our lessons and activities over the last 15+ years. Our students have improved their grades in school, won world titles in robotics and invention competitions, and earned scholarships to STEM-based programs at top universities.

Robot Academy empowers kids to become engineers, programmers, inventors and entrepreneurs—all while having hands-on fun!

For over 15 years, Robot Academy has built confidence in students using STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) instruction.

Project-Based Summer Camp Curriculum with LEGO Robots

Learn creative problem-solving by engaging with real-world engineering design challenges. Students build and code robots to create solutions for everyday tasks like “cleaning” their room and feeding the pet. We help motivate students to build and program for fun BattleBot competitions, Jousting and more.

Students get extensive hands-on building and programming experience through group and individual activities that don’t require each student to have a full robotics set in front of them at all times. Each lesson ends with an application to real-world engineering.

Our curriculum works with Robot Academy’s Arduino LEGO Robot, LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3, LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Robot Inventor and LEGO® Education SPIKE™. All the robots are compatible with Chromebook, PC, MAC and iPad. The one-stop programming platform is designed for STEAM education for all ages and levels. It supports both block-based and textual programming languages. Switching from the block-based program Scratch to Python or Arduino C is just one click away.

Our proprietary Robot Academy Arduino LEGO Robot comes with four expansion ports that let kids connect to more than 100 kinds of electronic modules with nine expansion kits so students can learn new curriculum each year. LEGO® compatibility leads to hours of creative play as students explore new ways to build, combine, expand and customize with the building blocks of robotic invention.

Easy-to-Learn, Drag-and-Drop Programming

Students will learn Scratch coding and receive guidance on using Arduino C and Python languages through the curriculum.

Scratch is an easy-to-use, block-based visual programming language targeted primarily for children ages 5–16 years as an educational tool for programming.

Arduino C is an easy-to-use, open-source platform that is a simplified version of C++, which is used in universities.

Python is a widely used, interpreted, object-oriented and high-level programming language used for general-purpose programming and is popular at universities.

What Teachers Are Saying...

The kids loved the microbot class and we built an “arena” and had many battles.

It was a pleasure working with you and the experience was great for our students and teachers. Everyone is very excited about Robotics at Oakstone and we look forward to continuing to work with you.

Thank you for bringing robotics to our classroom and school. This year has not been a typical year to say the least and you and your program have helped to brighten our students' day. They love robotics and are fascinated by what you have taught us. They continued to program at every Smart Choice opportunity.... We look forward to continuing on with Robotics.
